I remember walking along the beach in north #Jutland, close to the small Danish town of Lønstrup. An eroding coast line has caused the cliffs to recede, and so, atop the cliffs there were several abandoned structures. Staring out into the North Sea on that windy day was a surreal experience and reminded me that the world can open up opportunities in funny ways. A year earlier, I met some people at a course in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We were all from different cities and areas of the world. A year later, we found ourselves in northern #Denmark. We stayed for one night before taking the ferry over to Norway. The place was lovely but the two sofa beds were very firm so it was difficult to get comfortable enough to sleep.
